I'm currently finishing my own contribution to The Lavender Oil challenge. It's a Frodo/Sam (who else?) slash fic and, according to the challenge rules, it's rated NC17. Until now I've written about 3000 words, but I guess that the complete work will be around 4000 or so.

For the second year in a row, my football team (A.S. Roma) won the Tim Cup (former Italy Cup)!

I think Roma totally deserved to win, this team is formed by great champions: above all Francesco Totti who, although he couldn't play because his leg hasn't completely healed, was there to receive the cup and celebrate with his team mates.

As you probably already know, last Saturday I planned to meet with dearest alpeew and her hubby, who came visiting Rome.

It was great to finally meet a friend who I've been in contact with for almost two years. They're a lovely couple, Allie is a very nice, sweet woman and we spent three hours or so chatting (a lot about Lijah!) and walking around.

It's been a warm, sunny day today in Rome.

I was going to work and waiting for the metro, as usual, and as soon as I entered the train, I had a nice surprise ...

My Dad went to check his foot yesterday. It's slowly healing, but he has to keep the plaster for another couple of weeks. At least he can put his foot down, so today he finally started to walk again, although his legs were very unsteady. He looks so sweet, just like a baby taking his first tentative steps ...

I told my Dad of all the messages of support you sent him in the last days, he really appreciated that and thanks you all. And so do I, your presence means a lot to me!

On another subject, I'd like to send a big, big hug to dearest layne67. Your batik sarong arrived today and, although it was announced, I was so excited when I opened the package. What can I say? It's truly beautiful, I love the fabric and the colours, I only have to learn how to wear it! And you're such a sweetheart, Lin sayang! *love and kisses*

Last, but not least, my dearest friend alpeew will be visiting Rome this week and we planned to meet next Saturday!! I'm so excited and I can't wait to meet her and have a walk together in some nice area of my own town. So I'll finally have a mini-mini moot myself, YAY!!!
Btw, anyone else planning to visit Rome in the near future?

Today it's holiday in Italy and I'm sooo glad I can finally have a long week-end. I need it to relax a bit and I'll be able to spend more time with my Dad. He's doing fine, but he's very tired of sitting with his leg up all the time. Another ten days to go and then I hope he can walk again.

I've finally watched OM and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not going to reveal anything here, since I know that some of you still haven't seen it and I don't want to spoil you. But I liked it and it was fun trying to spot my LJ friends on screen. Some of you were clearly recognizable!

And since I'm here, I'd like to wish dearest gloryunderhill a fantastic Birthday, full of joy, friendship, love and fun. *lots of hobbity hugs for you*

During last week end my Dad had slipped while climbing down the stairs. Unfortunately it turned out he broke his feet and now he has his right leg plastered up to the knee.

He can't put his feet down and he needs crutches to walk (which of course he's not able to use). He needs our assistance whenever he needs to get up, or move around, because once he tried to get up on his own he fell on the floor and he was lucky that nothing bad happened.

I'll try to keep in touch with everyone, but please forgive me if I can't be around that much in these days.

Yesterday it was the second anniversary of my own LJ. I can't believe it's already two years, but honestly I can't imagine my life without LJ and especially without you.

I'm having a lot of fun here, but above all I met the most wonderful people, who I'm so glad to call friends, and I'm sure I made some friends for life.

Thank you so much for making my life much, much better!

As you may already know, I had friends from Turin visiting, who stayed with me for the Easter week end, hoping to spend some relaxing time in the usually sunny Rome.

Wrong!!

We really enjoyed each other's company and we were more than happy to hang together, but unfortunately we had to rearrange all our plans. First, they arrived very late. Their flight was delayed because of strong winds, so we really hadn't much time on Friday, just had dinner to a restaurant (we started to eat at 11 p.m.!) and then back home.

Next day it was pouring with rain and never stopped until late night, so we spent the whole day at a huge department store (or shopping mall, I don't know how exactly you call that), which has 220 different shops (books, cd, clothes, furnitures, gifts, shoes, bags and so on), a cinema, several restaurants ... the kind of place where you can go when you want to buy something new and there's an awful weather outside.

I'll probably won't be on-line at all in the next few days. I'll have friends visiting from Turin and they'll stay with me until Monday.

So I'd like to wish you all a Happy Easter. I hope you'll have the chance to spend a few days in company of family, or friends, or lovers, or peaceful and relaxing time on your own. Whatever you'll be doing, I hope Easter will bring you joy and comfort.

It's my dearest layne67's birthday!

I know some of my friends here are "on strike" today and I'm not against it, although I don't see how useful it can be, but I couldn't miss the chance to wish my beloved Lin a fantastic birthday.

Since three nights in a row I've been dreaming about stark naked Elijah!

I'm not part of the dream, just watching, but I can tell you that it's a very satisfying sight. I can't remember much of those dreams, but in the last one Elijah was complaining about his .. ehm, "family jewels". From what I've seen there was absolutely nothing to complain about!

Well, what a good way to start the week! I hope your week has started well, too!
