Melyanna's thoughts and memories - My meeting with Elijah. Pt. 1

I felt a strange sensation in me. I was over excited, but I still wasn’t able to believe that I actually was there and that, in a few minutes, I’d had the chance to talk to him, to look into those eyes, to hug or kiss him, if I was lucky …

*oh my*

A few other steps and I was in the first line, from where I could see him clearly and very near. God, he is so beautiful, even with that beard he has the most angelic face I’ve ever seen .. and his features are so delicate and perfect: his cheekbones, the thin nose, the full lips, not to mention those gorgeous blue pools. And his flawless skin, just like porcelain …

Now I totally understand why Sam can’t resist his Frodo (shame, Melyanna, shame) ..

And so, between thoughts of various kind (some nasty, some really sweet and tender), it was my turn …

*OH MY!!*

He looked up at me, smiled and said Hello! And … I melted. I hit my aim: to look into those wonderful eyes and drown into the blue. For the first time I’ve seen him on screen I decided that I HAD to meet him, I had to see those eyes for real. And in that moment those eyes were staring at me.

I think (I mean it, I think) I said hello to him, too. Then I watched him signing my items: a small book with a collection of LOTR songs and poems illustrated by Alan Lee and a pic of him as Frodo.

Then I handed Elijah a few gifts (yes I did it, hon, mission accomplished!) and a CD compilation of music I made for him. He looked at me with that special face he makes whenever he is surprised and said: “They’re for me? Oh, thank you!”. I can say he was really pleased, like a small baby receiving a new toy.

I wanted to tell him a lot of things, but I knew the organizers wouldn’t have allowed too much time to a single person. I simply had to go, very reluctantly (although I knew there was the photo session with him to be done in a hour or so). So I gathered all my courage and I asked him if I could hug him. Sweet as he is, he stood up and we hugged, just for brief, but unforgettable moment.

When I left that room I was walking no more. I was flying!
